Statement In Reaction To The Acceptance Speech of Democratic Presidential Nominee John Kerry

(WASHINGTON, D.C.)—AFGE is proud to work to elect John Kerry, who as President of the United States will strengthen the middle class, promote economic growth, institute a sensible and fair tax policy, provide funding that will guarantee adequate care for our veterans—both those who served years ago and those who have yet to return home, and ensure the resources that will enable us to secure our homeland.

A Kerry Presidency will be based upon the American ideals of inclusion and opportunity. It will not play upon the fears of the populace, but will instead heal many of the great divisions that have so threatened our society from within.
